World Bank Summer Internship Details

The World Bank Summer Internship Program is seeking candidates for Operations (Front Line) in fields such as economics, finance, human development, social sciences, agriculture, environment, engineering, urban planning, natural resources management, private sector development, and related fields. Additionally, opportunities exist in Corporate support, including Accounting, Communications, Human Resources Management, Information Technology, Treasury, and other corporate services.

Eligibility Requirements for 2024 World Bank Summer Internship

To be considered for the World Bank Summer Internship, candidates must:

Have an undergraduate degree and be enrolled in a full-time graduate study program (pursuing a master’s degree or PhD with plans to return to school full-time). There is no age limit.

Fluency in English is required. Knowledge of languages such as French, Spanish, Russian, Arabic, Portuguese, and Chinese is desirable. Additional skills like computing skills are advantageous.

Benefits of 2024 World Bank Summer Internship

Interns receive an hourly salary, and where applicable, an allowance for travel expenses up to USD 3,000 at the discretion of the manager. Travel expenses cover airfare to or from the duty station city, with interns responsible for their accommodations. Most Intern positions are based in Washington, DC, driven by business needs, with a few others in WB country offices.
